Spring is in full bloom in NYC and with that the sound of children playing on the sidewalks, and in parks, is everywhere. I guess that is what makes watching this video of LEROY(666) so gut bustingly funny.

SPARKLE!!!!!

Yes the long awaited remake of the 1970's Motown hit, Sparkle is coming to a theater near you this August.

Lead role of Sparkle is played by American Idol winner, Jordan Sparks. And guess who her momma is? Whitney Houston! This is the last movie in which Whitney Houston appeared and she is giving a stellar performance, show casing her pipes were on the road to a brilliant comeback.

Sexy, Wet, Shine - These Lips are Magic!

How to create this look:

• Use a lip conditioner - you want to keep lips soft and supple. Any other condition will show through under this pristine finish.
• Apply lip liner - Remember, you are not drawing on lips. You are creating temptation. Use a sharp pencil and hold pencil at a 45 degree angle to you lips. You want a precise line connecting seamlessly.
• Apply lipstick with a brush using light strokes - You want to use a rich lipstick to compliment the lip liner you selected. The combination of each will enhance the effect of the final step.
• Apply lip gloss evenly - select a lip gloss with staying power and high shine. You will have to deal with a lip gloss which my feel dense at first and that feeling is temporary. 

Simple and easy, this look take less than 10 minutes to create and makes for fabulous photos. This run way look will turn heads and you will be the talk of the town! Watch out now, I hear Milan calling.

I Know We Never Met...Take That! Take That!

By now, if you live in the United States you know the story about Trayvon Martin, a young 17 year old African-American boy who was gunned downed by a self appointed "community watch" resident in his father's gated community.

I am not surprised that Zimmerman was let go and was sent home with out being charged. It is hurtful and bring rage to my heart every time I think of it. My mind and heart are with his parents. 


Did they hear the shots and say "Where is that boy?" What were his parents thinking in those three days before they were notified? Did they report their son missing? Were they told to wait 24 hours before they report him missing?  Were they consoled and asked if their son was on drugs or alcohol? Were they told the teenage runaway story and not to worry?


According to reports, Trayvon's parents were not notified for three (3) days as his body sat in the morgue with his cell phone, which had contact information for "Mom" and "Dad". Trayvon's body was also tested for both alcohol and drugs after his killing. None were found.


And then, as the tears stream down my face, I wonder what it was like for Trayvon in that last hour of his life. What was he thinking as he walked home from the convenience store back to his father's home, with Skittles and an ice tea in his pocket wearing his hoodie? When Trayvon saw Zimmerman following and said to his friend "This guy is following me.", what was he thinking? Was there panic and fear in his heart? Did he realize he was not going to make it home that night?  


What was his friend thinking on the other end of the phone when Trayvon shouted "Please! Please! Don't Shoot me!"? Who did they call? 


What did the neighbors think when they heard the shots ring out sending the young man down to lay to rest forever? Are they now thinking they did not do enough to stop their neighbor? Did they fell helpless under the law?


Having all of these questions make no difference. The fact remains, a 17 year old boy was killed steps from the home his father purchased in a safe neighborhood away from violence of the ghettos. Ironic.
