There have been so many things going on that I have been enjoying life immensely!
This weekend I had the pleasure of being part of a birthday celebration. What make this one so special? My dear friend (above)was finally at peace about turning 40(isn't she beautiful?)! and of course I had to ponder that question; what is the big deal about turning 40?
Well let's take a peek...
We live our lives through the lens of celebrities, but here's what they don't tell you, most people do not become a real success until they turn 40. Who? Halle Berry, Katerine Bates, Judy Dench, Denzel Washington, Laurence Fishbourne, Al Pacino, Robert Dinero, Barrack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton and many others.
Why? EXPERIENCE and REFLECTION. At 20 you are too busy being grown to worry about your future. During your 30's you are too busy worrying about not messing things up before you turn 40. In you 40's life looks a whole lot fuller and richer. Life tastes better. Life is sexier and passionate. Everything in your world is just better. I can't wait. I guess that's why some of my people could not get what was happening in Sex and the City 2. Life is richer after 40 and way more care free.
I'm next! I am anxiously awaiting my entrance to the 40-40 Club, not the one owned by Jay-Z(although he is a member that refuse to accept it, like so many other rappers) but the one owned by none other than ME!
