As you can tell I am definitely a late owl. And It always seem that's when radio stations feel safest putting out new music. For the past month or so when my radio is on I have been hearing this song and loving it. Only thing wrong? I have been totally ignoring who the artist is because THEY HAVE NEVER MENTIONED IT!

I pull out my old school detective kit - open a web browser and Google my current radio station play list(Side note to self - write piece on the origin of Google as a verb). What do I see but the current song "Mind Control" and the artist name, Hal Linton. I instantly realize this dude is not Bilal Oliver, who by the way still owes me a second dynamic album.(Note to self - write on Bilal's rise and fall from grace). Back to Linton...

Hal Linton, born in Barbados, comes on with a smooth falsetto, that if not closely listened to can be mistaken for another artist, which is not a bad thing. His voice captures your attention and I am definitely tuned in to this musically trained, west Indian native . "Mind Control", first released in April 2010, has definitely got my mind going. Sexy and soul stirring, this song can put anyone in the right mood. Not yet causing a strong buzz on the charts, it definitely is bringing some heat. Finally, a young artist that has soul with music in it. Hal Linton has some really deep lyrics "I know about the birds and the bees, Chasin cats up the tree, I pay attention to detail baby So pay attention to me" I'm listening and you should too:

"In the next three years, this kid right here, will be the only thing your talking about" - Jerry "Wonda" Duplesis. WOW!
